In 1996, he became a partner at GMI, focusing on export sales. Paolo dedicated himself to understanding IEC SIL standards, obtaining a TÜV Rheinland FS Engineer degree in 2012. With over 30 years in Hazardous Area Instrumentation, he now serves as GMI's CEO, providing support and knowledge globally.

Besides being an instructor, he has performed many third-party inspections for clients in the Ex world, both for offshore and onshore activities, and also assists clients in the design and application of Ex equipment and systems.
